Frequently Asked Questions

How many serves per person do you recommend?

We recommend 8-10 pieces per person would be ideal for your guests, to make sure everyone is satisfied. Anything less than this would be good for a pre meal canapé service. Please keep in mind that your guests may have more than one item.

How are the items delivered?

All our menu items/canapés are delivered on a disposable platter. These are of the highest quality and ready to serve to your guests. The platters are high gloss, very stylish, completely recyclable and environmentally sound.

Is the food delivered hot?

No, the food is not delivered hot. The food items are delivered ready to go. All you have to do is put in your oven, 180 degrees for 10 minutes, or until hot to touch. All sauces, condiments & garnishes should not go in the oven.

How much is the delivery fee?

The delivery fee is calculated with an INSTANT automatic calculator, when you checkout.

How much notice do you require for delivery?

We require a minimum 3 business days’ notice - We cut off orders for Friday to Sunday on a Wednesday at 4.00pm. If you are ever unsure please just give us a call to check!

How much notice do you require for staffed events?

If you were after a staffed event, at least 7 days - however the earlier the better as our staff are subject to availability

What is the minimum order?

$200 worth of food is the minimum order amount.

Where do you deliver to?

Instant Catering provides a delivery catering service to the Melbourne metropolitan area and outer areas throughout Victoria.

How do we pay for our order?

You pay instantly on checkout with your credit card, via eWay, which is one of Australia's most popular payment systems for e-commerce.

What happens after we confirm our order?

You will instantly receive a confirmation email. We then contact you within the next few business days to re-confirm your order.

Can we hire staff to cook, wait or serve beverages?

Yes you can, but because every function is different we cannot display pricing. Please enquire now for a quote.
